I am currently using Labview IMAQ to detect swimming pool walls in sonar footage. Through this I am designing an autopilot for a human powered submarine!
I am trying to think of a way to determine if the particles detected (representing the wall) are to the left or right of the submarine) The walls can be angled so I need to look at the bottom of each particle to see if it is to the left or right of the centre of the image.
I can't work out if it is possible using IMAQ particle analysis to find the X co-ordinates of this bottom point.
Any suggestions?
