Can I open a password protected file with datasocket?

I want to open a file on the internet,with datasocket. The problem is that the file is proteckted with a password. I got the password but cant use it..

Please refer to KnowledgeBase DIRECT-45GPFL: How Can I Retrieve Data from FTP Servers That Require a Username and Pa.... If this does not help, then you will have to post much more information on the type of file you are trying to get and from where.
