CameraLink with GenICam

Hello all,

I am having trouble acquiring images with a 25CL+ camera from Mikrotron. Can I confirm that some of the advice in this tutorial should in principal work? Or does that only apply to GigE Vision cameras?

This is essentially a clone of this question I believe.

The issue is that this camera uses CameraLink technology and the GenICam standard. There doesn't seem to be much material on that combo.

Any help is much appreciated.

P.S. I am using the PCIe-1433 framegrabber. I have been trying to make my own camera file with the camera file maker, but it says that the camera appears to be off/not sharing any data.

Having a look at the following page there seems to be no support for that specific camera:

What type of issues are you experiencing?

Unfortunately I am not experiencing anything.

Using the Camera File Generator seems to be the proposed solution for cameras that are unsupported. I have checked that it works with other mikrotron cameras, and even works sometimes if you have the wrong tap settings, or ask for too few pixels. However with my camera there is nothing.

Looking at the website there where people with successes in LabVIEW.

They however talked with mikrotron support.

It might be worth a shot to talk with them and see what they know about the issue.
