I'm having trouble finding any useful documentation on using the IEEE1588 time sync software with a Compact Rio system. I have the NI-timesynch plugin installed but have no idea how to configure it to synchronise with a time source. I have found two ways of interacting with the IEEE1588 software -
MAX: Something called "Priority one" can be set to a value in the range 0-255. I have no idea what this does.
NI-timesync plugin property node: this read-only node tells me that the plugin is synchronised and that it is both the grandmaster and master clock.
It's not very useful to have the cRio synchronised with itself, so how do I change this?
