Tip Strips on non-user interface front panels are probably a low priority. But that lower priority does not extend to the description of the controls/indicators, that will have a higher priority. So, considering that you will have the description and tip window open anyways, it is up to you to decide if you want to take the few seconds to add the tip.
Me, I don't tend to add tip strips to anything that isn't seen by the final operator, I tend to view them as an operator memory support. The description however is required for full documentation on all controls/indicators.
(Took me the full 4 hours, btw. And I really needed another 20 min to cleanup some shortcuts I took while coding.)

Well, I am pleased to say I was allowed to move the mouse and change the buttons before the time started 🙂
Exam was quite a bit longer than I had anticipated, but managed to finish most of it. Now if only I had gotten familiar with Quick Drop before yesterday!
Will report back in a few anxious weeks time....

I took the exam yesterday and I would have to say it took me the whole 4 hrs and I could have used a couple more to finish the documentation and some of the functionality. i did not get all of the functionality complete and I wish that my code was a little cleaner than it was, but oh well if I pass then i pass if I do not then it will not really hurt my feelings anyway. I know that I could do an outstanding job with the requirements given, if i had longer than 4 hrs to do it. Normally it take me longer than 4hrs just to read all of the requirements and set up a good test plan.
We will see in a couple of weeks...........
Until then I will be waiting impatiently........
