Button width and height read-only. Any way to resize button?

Hi,
My thanks to anyone who has experience in the following area. I'm in a bind.

I am trying to change the size of buttons at run-time. So far I have been unsuccessful. The property node for buttons seems to contain read-only "bounds" properties. Is there any way around this problem? I am attempting to read and write these size values from and to the registry between runs.

Instead of the bounds property, use the button size one. Its down near the bottom of the available property list.
