[Bug] Bound control in front panel group loses binding when copied

I thought I'd report this bug, only to discover it was reported almost six years ago (in LV2010). CAR #298993 was raised, but the bug is still present in the LV2017 beta. Any time frame on a fix?

As a note, it works if you select several items and drag-copy them. It's related to grouped copy.

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same issue. I've attached a VI with a bound control, grouped with some text (the "RMS" subscript). If I ctrl+click+drag the grouped item, then check the binding properties of the new numeric indicator, it's now unbound (and the little binding LED indicator disappears).

Similarly if I ctrl+click+drag the grouped item (or simply copy/paste it), deselect the group, then select the group and click+drag to move it around, the binding LED indicator also disappears.

Michael,

I was able to reproduce this from the VI you attached.  I will take this to some of our product specialists to see if I can provide any feedback here.

Besides beta bugs being tracked there, isn't it not allowable to even be discussing the beta outside the beta forums?
