And I am with Jeff here, just disable the screen saver and all of these problems go away. And while you are mucking with these settings, make sure the computer never goes into sleep mode either (was just burned by this on Monday).

But we have sevaral devices in out factory that works 24/7 and for 24/7 the screens are turned off, i would not like them to be turned on!

I knew I was going to get crap from you by making that statement. I had just formatted the computer, got in a hurry, and forgot to change the sleep settings. But I did remember to disable the USB suspend option. Just adding to the checklist of things to do to new computers...

You can save, edit and import power profiles on windows. Perhaps I-thingys too but, l don't play with Apples unless I'm juggling them.

Turn them back on! The monitor consumes 99% of its max energy just in standby. The power to drive the LCD display is chump change
