Avoid screen saver unwanted pressure

I would actually recommend "switch/latch when released".  This is the "usual" way a button works.

Command buttons should be set to Latch When Released.  Settings buttons should be Switch When Pressed.

And I am with Jeff here, just disable the screen saver and all of these problems go away.  And while you are mucking with these settings, make sure the computer never goes into sleep mode either (was just burned by this on Monday).

And after all of my posts on windows power saving settings?  Tim, that earns you a post FULL of embarrassed emojis!

I knew I was going to get crap from you by making that statement.  I had just formatted the computer, got in a hurry, and forgot to change the sleep settings.  But I did remember to disable the USB suspend option.  Just adding to the checklist of things to do to new computers...

Turn them back on! The monitor consumes 99% of its max energy just in standby.  The power to drive the LCD display is chump change
