Are LV menu's emulations? And if so how can they be blocked in the WINAPI

I need to popup a Global vi and do not want the user to be able to access
the full LV menus that appear on a non-running vi such as a Global vi. It
appears that LV menus are emulations and not actual windows hmenu
structures. Does anyone know of a sneaky way to block mouse clicks on these
areas of the vi?

If you want to block the menus, choose VI Properties from the File Menu then choose Windows Appearance from the dropdown box. Click on the Customize button and you will find options to turn off pop-up menus and the menubar. You can also turn off a lot of other things (scroll bars are one I turn off regularly).

This should keep your user(s) out of the menus. Hope that this is what you are looking for.
