Looks like NI forgot to use a secure download link for the community edition. Sticking https at the start of the download link fixes things though.

Also the community edition is listed as 64-bit, but the download is actually 32-bit. I remember this happened with the previous release, and there is no 64-bit version of the community edition.

Did they fix the wire auto-routing "feature"? Or at least give us the option to disable it?

I saw nothing mentioned in the release notes.
