You can use an ActiveX container if in Windows. There are
several shareware Animated GIF controls available. Try
www.download.com. I've gotten one from there before that works
with LV. I can't recall the name and I've purged it from my
system.
Another low-tech, non-activeX way is to use a GIF editor to copy
and paste the individual frames of the animation into the frames
of a Labview Pict Ring control and save the control. I've done
this on a few occasions and it makes a nice LV-native animation.
The only drawback I can see is for large animations it will
bloat the size of your program and for animations with many
frames, it's a pain to copy all the frames. Perhaps someone
knows of a utility that converts animated GIFS to Pict Ring
controls automatically......
