Hi!
Does anyone know how the amplitude calculation is done in the Impact test Sounds and vibration program in DAQmx? Are there any documents that describe this or anyone with experience using an impact hammer and an accelerometer to find the (response/impact) measurement?
Thanks!

Hi Ben-Da-Nee,
A description of the overall architecture of National Instruments examples can be found by going to File -> VI Properties -> Documentation. This has general descriptions, so it will then be best to look at the code itself to gain a deeper understanding.
When looking at the example that you are using, any specifics for the amplitude calculation can be seen within the "Processing" portion of the Block Diagram. There are many interrelated portions of detailed code within the "Processing" section that will be used for amplitude but this would be the best place to start when determining how calculations are obtained. Unfortunately, I have not been able to identify any more concise documentation on how the amplitude calculation is completed.
Is there something specific within this section that you would like clarified? Please let me know and we could do a deeper analysis of that portion of code.
