ActiveX - Premiere as container?

I'd like to run movies created in Adobe Premiere and use LabView to start the program and control timing. Can I use Premiere as an ActiveX container? Or, can I use Labview to apply precision display timing to a clip saved to MS Media Player? Any advice would be welcome.

It depends whether the application you are trying to use can be used as ActiveX Automation Server or as ActiveX control. If premiere is ActiveX control you can drop it into ActiveX container and start using properties and methods in labview.

If that application can act as ActiveX Automation Server than you can make ActiveX calls to launch that application from labview.
