Active database objects and Active X

Hello .
I am trying to get an Active X database object (ADO) to do it's thing in
the Labview environment. I am using the same properties that have worked in
Visual Basic program that I used to take data from a datasocket and put it
into the same database that worked fine.

It seems I have two problems .

1/ I presume that something is still missing from the ODBC connection as,
when I put a data probe to see if I can get any data out of the ODBC
recordset I get (0) I assume there would be some sort of hex tag if I have
got it right.

2/ I can't seem to see what might extract the data from the recordset if I
had one that seem to work.

I am still bumbling my way through Visual Basic, so I expect knowing more
about t
hat would help, though I would expect I should be able to translate
working Visual basic code into something labviewish.

Does anyone have any examples of extracting recordsets from ADO's that I
can look at to see what I am doing wrong ??

Regards
Leo
