I have some AK protocol stuff for a California Analytics NOx analyzer. The commands may be different but it may give you a place to start. Just reply to this thread if you would like have my VI set.

Hi Udo,

The code I have was written for California Analytics and may or may not work with the Emmerson Analyzer.  Let me know where to send it and what version of labview you need.
