6218 hang and can't be reset

while running Labview (2012) application in a 1 second loop, trying to read on DAQ 6218 channel ai0 (1k sampling rate/1ksamples) the application hung. When the application loop was set to 5 seconds, there was no problem.

Once it hung, any attempt to reset the 6218 was not successful! power off everything and restart still did not work. Running the NI-MAX for that device and running the test pannel is not running. Self test on the device shows the device is OK. Trying to execute the "Reconfigure" gives an error  50103 ....specified resource is reserved....

How to release it from this condition?

If you try to configure your device while your code is still running, you will receive that error. 

When you say you changed the timing of your loop from 5 seconds to 1 second, how did  you do this? Are you using a Timed Loop, or changing the timing of your vi in another way?
