3D laser scanner save data output

Dear all

I am a newbie in 3D laser Scanner. We have built a 3D laser Scanner system like this link :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmfwPXYO5vM

At the momnet, we have obtained 3D image of object, and we also have three array of information of this 3D object. However, I do not know how to save these data. We wanna have *.COP file ( cloud of point) to use in 3D Mechine Vision Library ( a product of Imaginglab: http://www.imaginglab.it/eng/3D-MVL_DataSheet.php )

Could you have any suggestions for me?

Thanks!

Sounds like if you sent NI $599, you could simply buy that scanner.

It looks like the library by ImagingLab has all you would need to save files as a .COP file. Have you tried to use that library and are having problems?

Hi Quach,

Are you getting errors? Are you unable to find the correct functionality? Can you run examples?

Dear Mr. JD B

I have found in 3D-Machine Vision Library, but I could not have success. I cannot found a way or a function to do that.

Thanks.

Hi Quach,

If you are having problems using the 3D Machine Vision Library, I suggest contacting ImagingLab for support. Since this is a 3rd party add-on they will be more familiar with the product.

Another option is to use the .ply format. Have a look at the Haro3D library (download from VIPM). More info at www.harotek.com/products.

Let me know if you have any other question.

p.s.: I invite you to joint the 3D Vision user group.
