In a piece of LabView-run test equipment, we need to be able to generate a
variable
frequency square wave from 1 kHz to 18 kHz on the AT-AO-10 board.
Currently, we use "Compute Waveform.vi" to generate the square wave from
a
panel control, using a 10 point buffer. We then use AO Config/Write/Start
with
"continuous generation" with a update rate of 10 times the frequency.
This vi works fine for up to 8 kHz. After 8 kHz, the machine slows down.
At
above 11 kHz, the machine will freeze up, and then at cause a reboot. Obviously,
this isn't acceptable.
Has anyone out there done a continuous square wave generator with panel
controlled frequency that can get to 18 kHz?
I'd appreciate any help in this matter.
Sincerely,
John
