Sample Audio VI for Labview Toolkit

I am trying to run my first simple Labview NXT program, (I have used Labview for other hardware before) .  I have created a simple audio VI file for testing the NXT something similar to the tutorial on nxtasy.org

The program has no errors and runs, however it does not find the NXT in the first block of "Find NXT"  ,  Just to be sure I've loaded the most recent firmware and driver from Lego's Site, http://mindstorms.lego.com/support/updates/

I checked the device manager and the lego system comes up but I'm not sure why Labview can not "Find NXT"

could it be the name of the NXT brick (also you might have mistyped it)? try to shorten it something like "abc1"

I've tried shortening to "NXT" , but I'll try "abc1" , Is there any quick diagnostic to make sure your firmware is properly  communicating?

Great to hear, eventually after restarting my computer everything started working.  So always remember to restart after installing drivers !
