Documenting Mindstorm programs

When developing programs or experiments, I would like to be able to document the blocks so they are available off-line.(Not within Mindstorms / Labview)  I know I can print out sections of the program with screen prints, but it is awkward. Is there any way (tool) available to convert the visual representative to a PDF or other ( Word ?) format that can be saved, and viewed.

I know there must be a way because of all the printed examples in several books ---- I just can't find it.
