Same as this declined idea, but I just ran into a situation that could really use it.
I have a cRIO application that I need to save the current settings so that I can restore the state at start up. So right now I have to open the file, have the library parse it, update my value, and then close the reference (which saves the file). This seems like a lot of wasted processing and allocations when all that should be needed is to update my value and then have the file be written.
