Split Number/Join Numbers primitive connector placement

Status: New

Re-opening because of a request to reconsider this functionality for LabVIEW now that LabVIEW NXG has been discontinued.

The connectors hi(x) & lo(x) on the primitives for "Split Number" & "Join Numbers" do not line up with multi-connector primitives (Index Array, Build Array, Format, Format into String, Scan from String, etc). See below:

Yes, all those small things bug me too!   I usually end up hiding the bend under one of the primatives, but fixing it is preferable.

yep, and while you're at it, do the same for variant (i think there is already in idea for that) and "to more specific class"

Good call.  While not a duplicate, you can definitely file this one with Change error terminals of Variant to Data function to match every other VI and Function in LabVIEW

There's also the "To More Specific Class" that doesn't really fit to property and invoke nodes ...

Build Array is correct with 8 pixels of separation. Split Number has 9 pixels of separation, so should be the one to change. Having everything on 8 pixel seperation makes things nice when wiring. (It's also the separation on a standard 4:2:2:4 subVI icon.)

Available in LabVIEW NXG 1.0. All node terminal positions should be positioned in increments of 5 pixels, so wiring one node to another should result in wires with no bends, or bends of 5, 10, 15, etc. pixels.
