Kill the "Model vi" that was loaded in memory before the main application started

Status: Declined
Programming issue. Pushed to NI Forums for resolution.

An option to kill a "model" vi which causes the the main applicaton to hang (?)if this model vi is linked to the main application statically (by subvi call).

In such a scenario the only option is to kill LabVIEW (by end task). Any way to solve this?

What are you referring to? What "Model" VI? I have no such thing in any of the versions of LabVIEW that I run. Are you referring to some toolkit?

Also, it seem you have to wrong image attached to the post.

He means "modal VI".

It's not clear what you are referrring to, but this looks more like a bug report and not an idea for a new LabVIEW feature. Please post this in the LabVIEW forum.

And please provide complete information to reproduce the problem: Detailed steps to reproduce and possible some example code.

Are you talking about the case where you place a modal subVI inside a tight loop so it gets constantly called over and over? This is a coding error and not really a LabVIEW problem. A VI task manager has been suggested and discussed already here. Check it out! 🙂
