Get the path of the installed application by the installer

The purpose of this is the user saves time creating installers  that have the same application but theirs configuration files are different.

You probably need to provide more detail...

  • Get how? What does the installer do with the path?
  • Installer for what?
  • Usually the programmer, not the user creates installers. Please explain.
  • Save time how?
  • "Same" as what?
  • "Different" how?

The point is our Applications always need a configuration file. This file is different for same equipment because it contains calibration parameters.

The fact to creates an installer takes a few minutes. We think we can save some time creating a script that installs the installer made by LabVIEW and the specific configuration file later.

I hope I have explained properly.

Thank you.

This script sounds like something that is outside of the LabVIEW application builder and is a part of the job whoever is trying to make the script that runs the application installer and then copies the configuration file.
