Delete Directly from Class

Status: New

When right-clicking on a VI in a class, there's an option to "Remove From Library".  This option removes the VI from the library, but leaves the file on disk.

95% of the time that I'm removing a file from a class, I'd also like to delete it from disk.

The wording might need a bit of work, but it'd be great if there was an option to simply "Delete" or "Remove From Library and Delete".

(In the meantime, I'll continue to "Explore...", then "Remove From Library", then delete from my file system.)

If your projects are on SVN you also want to delete the file from SVN, that's already implemented in Viewpoint TSVN toolkit. Right-click, VSI TSVN Tools/Delete.

That deletes from class, library, disk and SVN. Perfect 👌

Can it also delete from the historical record of reality so I get back all the hours I wasted writing the functionality that just duplicated another VI written by someone else? That's the tool I've wanted on several occasions. 🙂

Duplicate. See that discussion and especially AQ's response to why delete was replaced with the Remove from Library
