Allow Switcheroo with Unwired Terminal

In my own experience, it is not that often that I make two wiring "mistakes" and need the switcheroo tool to swap wires.  What does happen now and then is that the wrong terminal of a function will get autowired.  I would like to Ctrl-click to switch the empty wire with the wired terminal and then carry on.  Easy peasy.

This looks like a duplicate of my idea from summer 2009.

I had been on the forum for a good five days then, so I probably should have read that one.  Smiley Very Happy  At least I hadn't Kudoed that one already....

Of course if you had used the proper terminology 'switcheroo' the new search MAY have turned that one up.

Fools seldom differ, I mean great minds think alike.

Like I just said in the other idea, I prefer the more general version - http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW-Idea-Exchange/Use-the-wiring-tool-to-swap-inputs-or-outputs-which-ha...

I am not sure how common or proper that terminology is, a search in the LabVIEW forum only shows 6 matches. 😉

The first mention ever of "switcheroo" is in Darren's March 2006 nugget. and my idea already shows up there in the next post (way before the ideas exchange), unfortunately without a forward link (but Darren promised to put it "in the books", whatever that means :D).
