Head First: Object Oriented Analysis & Design

Author: David West, Brett McLaughlin and Gary Pollice

Review:

This book uses a graphics heavy and conversational style just like other Head First titles. I read this after Head First: Design Patterns because I wanted to have a better idea of the when, why and how to apply patterns in real software. Just because you know about "Design Patterns" doesn't mean that all of the code you write has to be one. This book is more about looking at your program and deciding what it is and what it needs.

I think having an idea of what design patterns are before you read this book is a good idea. This book however is more about looking at your problem and figuring out how to solve it. Very complimentary to Design Patterns in my opinion.
