LabVIEW Champion: Dr. Holger Brand

My name is Holger Brand. I am working in germany as:

 

LabVIEW (CLD) is definitely my favorite programming language since Version 5.0 in 1999, but I am also used to C/C++, Java, Fortran. Due to past projects at GSI and in industry I collected experience with most NI software and many NI hardware, including DAQ, Motion, Vision, RT, FPGA, DSC, Database (Oracle & PostgreSQL).

 

I am contributing to NI forums using HB@BNT or Fire but much more frequently to the german http://labviewforum.de.

 

My main development project in the past, since 2001, was the CS Framework, https://wiki.gsi.de/foswiki/bin/view/CSframework/WebHome, and currently I am working on the development of its successor CS++, https://github.com/HB-GSI/CSPP.  CS means Control System. CS is an artificial object oriented approach started with LabVIEW 6.1. CS++ is based on LVOOP and the Actor Framework. The first trial with the actor framework doing some gas flow control resulted in a Science publication (see below).
