I posted this in the suggestions, but I wanted to double-check.
Is there any way to programmatically add an entry to a VIs revision history?
I tend to forget to add comments to *both* the revision history and the block diagram. The problem with that is that the block diagram comments don't save a history, and the revision comments aren't on the block diagram where I'll see them.
So I'm working on a utility to determine which block diagram or front panel comments have been changed, and add the new text to the revision history.
Unless I go to the extent of actually entering text into the revision history comment box when the VI is saved, I don't see any way to actually change the revision history. (the "entire text" property is read-only)
Any suggestions?
