visa remote setting problem + cRIO

Hello,

I have two PC's. On a PC with Windows2000 I configured cRIO via MAX and I can use it without problems. On the second PC with WindowsXP the MAX recognizes cRIO
but when I try to use the "Enable finding resources on these remote systems" option (Software>>NI-VISA>>VISA Options>>Remote) it doesn't work. I can check it, but
when I click the Save button and close and reopen MAX (or just Refresh button) the field by cRIO is empty.
I have repeated all the installing and configuring steps from W2000 on the XP convinced that it will work, well it doesn't. On both machines I have LV8.5, FPGA+RT modules
and NI-RIO.
Does anyone has any idea what migh be going wrong here?

Hi,

Set IPReset and SafeMode on controller to ON. Reboot controller, start MAX. Does the controller pop up under Remote Systems? If it doesn't I believe it could be because of the firewall blocking IP 0.0.0.0 communication. You can also try to your own IP to static and try and see if that makes a difefrence.
