Has anyone been able to use Thunderbolt PCIe Expansion Chassis with a PCIe-GBIP card?
I am using OWC Mercury Helios PCIe Expansion Chassis and it is not working.

It looks like PCI tunneling needs to be enabled for the card to work.
Using the 3.0.1 drivers;

I tried it with a Startech RS232 serial adapter card and could not get it to work.The Mac would see it as a serial card but could not use it.
Startech RS232 serial adapter card:
I think is will be better to return the PCIe-GBIP card and get the USB-GBIP adapter. Unless NI reales a driver that supports Thuderbolt soon.
I have already have had the card for 2 months so I don't know if I can return it.
Will contact sales.

madscripter, are you still pursuing the use of the PCIe-GPIB with thunderbolt, or are you moving forward with USB?

Due to NI return policies I could not return the card. The solution I am using was to put Windows on the Mac using Apple's Bootcamp software. With Windows 7 I was able to use the Thunderbolt PCIe breakout box and the GBIB troubleshooting wizard sees the card. The only caveat is that the Thunderbolt needs to plugged in and startup or Windows will not see it if you plug it in later.
I would still prefer a Mac native sloution for this, but NI would need to update thier drivers to support PCI tunneling/Thunderbolt.
