hi everyone, i have a agilent 34401a multimeter. my problem is that my pc cant detect my multimeter. no matter what i do, my pc cant seem to detect my multimeter.. i placed it on com1 and try to communicate with it using rs-232. can anybody enlighten me on this problem of mine.. thanks in advance.

Hi,

Check that your 34401a is configured to use RS232 rather than GPIB for the Interface IO.

 

Make sure your RS232 setting match the setting of the 34401a.
