Hey Timmkish,
What version of the NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 driver are you using? What camera are you using? Is your camera DCAM (or IIDC) compliant? MAX will show your camera connected if the NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 driver recognizes that the device is connected. Does your camera show up in MAX as a generic imaging device, or not at all? Are you connecting your camera to a PCI firewire card, or are you connecting your camera to a laptop, etc?
Please provide more information about what you are doing and what your question is. This way, anyone on the discussion forums who reads your post will be able to answer your question and help you out. The more information the better, like what have you done so far, and anything else you have tried.
Last, you don't have to assign the driver to the firewire card. All you have to do is when it shows up in MAX, right click on the camera and select the NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 driver to be associated with the camera. Then you should be up and running.
Let us know if you have any questions or concerns, or if you still can't get the camera to be detected. Thanks, and have a great day.
Regards,
DJ L.
