conflict between PC/104-GPIB and WCSC Serial Communications under DOS

When the GPIB.COM is loaded at boot-up my software locks up while trying to initialize the serial port.  I am using the WCSC Serial Comunications package and DOS operating system.  Does anyone know what the conflict might be?

I would like to know what GPIB driver you are using and the hardware, do you get any error before it locks up.

I am using NI Version 2.7.2

There is no indication but as my software loads and initializes the 2 serial ports are opened and then immediately afterwards the status of these 2 ports is sent to the display.  When the lock up occurs I do not get anything displayed and even CTRL-ALT-DEL does not work, I have to power down.
