Where do I find a driver to connect Chroma 6310 connected through USB?

Solved!
Go to solution

I have a Chroma 6310 Load connected by USB. It shows up as a USB Test and Measurement Device (IVI) The Agilent driver AUSBTMC causes a blue screen of death. I have tried to locate the NIUSBTMC driver, but have failed. Where can I find a windows driver so that my Chroma load will be available through MAX, and NI VISA?

I have downloaded and installed NI VISA and the NI Labview trial latest versions.

Thanks,

Luke

Luke,

Here is a link to the NI certified driver for this device.

http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.model_page?p_model_id=1138

This should resolve your issue.

Thanks,

Pete

Thanks for the infromation, I downloaded these and did not find a USB driver in these files. Until I get the device connected through USB, the labview files will not help me.

I don't think ausbtmc has anything to do with Agilent. In any case, see this discussion.

My mistake Luke,

I couldn't find any drivers for the USB interface in our list of drivers, but I did find something on the Chroma website.

http://www.chromaate.com/driver/default.aspx

It seems the 6310A drivers have USB support.  Have you tried those?

Thanks,

The thread you suggested contained the answer. The driver can be found here:

The device is recognized now recognized by MAX.

I appreciate the help.
