VISA runi-time and serial port

I'm building applications using app builder. My vi uses serial port and VISA to communicate through this port.
It appears that VISA run-time engine is needed to run my application in addition to LABVIEW run-time.
I wonder if there is a smple way to escape installing VISA run-time on any machine where my apps is running.

If you use VISA, you have to have some version of VISA run-time. Since LabVIEW 7, you have the option, when you create the executable installer, of including a version of VISA that only supports serial I/O. Much smaller installation than the full VISA run-time. Go to Installer Settings>Advanced to include it.
