The GPIB can work whit 2 different softwares?

Hi,

I have installed the NI488.2 to control the GPIB-USB. It´s works well with a laboratory software from keithley instruments. But i have other software that i want to use, (not simultaneously) and the second software not find the instrument.

I also installed the NI488.2 in other computer to test, and run well the second software.

Exist a conflict to use the same instrument with two different softwares?

Hi,

    I'm afraid you will have to use either NI 488.2 or third party driver, but not both. I would even suggest uninstalling the software you're not planning to use. It seems you did not have any trouble when installing the second driver in the PC where the other one had been previously installed. Nevertheless, iit is common to face conflict errors during installation.
