I am having an issue connecting to a Tektronix AFG1022 function generator. This is a USB version, which should automatically register as a VISA device. The device shows up in Windows Device Manager as expected, but when I open NI-MAX or VISA Interactive Control, it is not there. I have tried this on four different computers (all Windows 10 enterprise), and it worked on one of them, so at least I know it's not a device issue.
One of the computers on which it didn't work should have the same version of NI software as the computer on which it did work, as both have been set up in the last few months. So NI-MAX 2022 Q3 and VISA Interactive Control 22.5. All computers are reasonably up-to-date (automated Windows updates).
I'm confused as to what differences might be between these computers. I've also contacted Tek support, but they haven't been very helpful so far.
Any ideas what I might try? Or further information to post here?
