We have NI interface boards:
NI PCMCIA-FBUS/2 Series 2 190143B-01 & Cable 183809-01 to allow us to communicate using PACTWARE to Fieldbus magnetrol units. In this case I want to hook up a PC and use pactware to pull echo curves off of the 705 magnetrol unit. Will my current interface board work for this and I just need a different cable or do I need a whole different set of equipment?

Cordenuser,
I know National Instruments recommended the NI USB-8486 for newer designs, but I don't have any knowledge beyond that on the device you are currently using.
FieldBus products are specifically supported on the forum below.

Sorry I can't offer more help, but you might have more luck posting there.

The equipment you describe should be sufficient. Here is the link for instructions on connecting PACTware (and the appropriated FF DTM) to a Model 705 transmitter with Foundation Fieldbus output.http://us.magnetrol.com/PDFs/1/59-601.pdf
