NI Visa 4.6 security permissions greyed out.

I installed national instruments visa 4.6 to an Agilent E5061A running Windows 2000 professional.  In MAX I find VISA and the security tab, access only and Deny all access are NOT grayed out.  Access and remote configuration IS grayed out.  Do I have to tie NI-VISA to a license to get that greyed out field?

You don't have to activate NI-VISA so, there is no limited version.

The phenomenon you are facing is expected, could be caused by Windows security.

Why don't you run NI MAX as administrator?

Changed from Agena login to Administrator login, I still can't click on greyed out Access and Remote Configuration.

The NI-Visa server is apparently running though.

Update:

I checked the filtering option in control panel networking, and there isn't any blocking configured there.  Maybe there's a group policy or user policy that is causing problems, but I don't know how to check that in Windows 2000 Professional.
