Hello,
We installed NI-VISA on a Linux pc running Red Hat 8.6
- A DELL pc
- Pc hardware:
$ cat /sys/devices/virtual/dmi/id/sys_vendor
Dell Inc.
$ cat /sys/devices/virtual/dmi/id/product_name
Precision 344
- Redhat Version:
$ cat /etc/redhat-release
Red Hat Enterprise Linux release 8.6 (Ootpa)
- NI Linux Device Drivers (NI-488.2 and NI-VISA)
- List enabled repositories in Linux:
$ yum repolist
ni-software-2022 ===> ni-rhel8-drivers-2022Q1.rpm
- Installed ni-4882.2:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libni4882.so -> libni4882.so.21.5.0
- Installed ni-visa:
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libvisa.so -> libvisa.so.21.5.0
When I start NIvisaic with no instruments connected, I get (normal action):
When I start NIvisaic with an instrument connected to the GPIB bus, the program freezes:
The NIvisaic program is completely frozen, the Refresh button doesn't work and I have to kill the NIvisaic program.
Any help is appreciated on how to debug/fix this problem.
Regards,
Albert
