NI-VISA command prompt tool for USB or LAN

Is there a program providing command prompt read/write access to VISA configured USB or LAN devices?  We need something similar to "ibic" - but not limited to the GPIB bus.

We need to automate communications with a USBTMC device from within Fluke MetCal - unfortunately the only way at this time to accomplish this is calling a Windows command prompt executable (or batch) file as a subroutine.

 So, even though we know the device is working properly - we can see it and communicate with it interactively in MAX - we're unable to find a simple stand alone command line program to read andwrite to configured devices.  If there's a tool in NI-VISA we missed?

Hi

VISA is the communication layer, you can write programns in LabVIEW, Visual basic C and all other languages available that have an interface defined for dll's.

My personal favorite is LabVIEW.
