NI MAX crashes on Devices expansion

Hello all,

I'm trying to use NI MAX for another program and whenever I click to expand any option besides "IVI Drivers" the program crashes. The error report is shown below. I've tried repairing and uninstalling the program, as well as other posts to no help. It is version 16.0 being run on windows 7.

I'm also getting an error of "database exited abnormally" when I try to open the devices tab. I am able to get around this error but opening services.msc and starting NI Configuration Manager and NI Device Loader. I've tried other posts such as:

Has anyone been able to fix errors like this before?

I suggest to try Resetting the Configuration Data,  [tools > reset configuration data] or doing a force reinstall: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/ADD22E807D5A12AD862579EC00760F79.
