Listening to CAN Communication

I would like to use my program to collect and save data that is being transmitted via a CAN Bus. The CAN communication is between a motor controller and another software program. All I need my labview program to do is listen in and pull some of the CAN messages out. Any tips for accomplishing this? I am pretty new with CAN communication.

There are a couple of good examples built into LabVIEW with the drivers (Help->Find Examples).  There should be at least one on reading CAN messages.


But in general, you will want a single loop doing nothing but reading the messages and then use a Queue or User Event to send the message data to another loop(s) that processes the messages.
