How to add IVI capability in my system?

Hi,

I'm using TS3.5 + CVI 8.01 + LabView 8.01.

I did not install any IVI capability during the installation.  I wish to do it now...

Can you guide me how to do it?

Thanks
Rafi

Basically what you need to do is to install the IVI Compliance Package (ICP). You can do that from the Driver CD that came with LabVIEW or you can download the latest ICP version from ni.com:

The ICP installer will detect which versions of LabVIEW and CVI you have on your system and install the appropriate support.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

Thanks for answering..
I'm using NI Developer Suite May 2006.  There is no special driver that comes with LabView.  There are 3 driver CD which labeled "Device Drivers for Data Acquisition, Instrument Control, Motion and Vision".  There is no IVI installation in there.

I can download from the link you provided, but I prefer a "normal" installation from the CD.  Can you check again where are those installation files?

I will need IVI capability for all programs (i.e. LabView, CVI, TestStand)

Thanks
Rafi

Put CD #1 of the device drivers into your driver and run the setup program. When you get to the Features to install screen, look under the Instrument Control feature and look at the IVI compliance package and it's options.
