Hamamatsu Mini-Spectrometer

Solved!
Go to solution

Oh I see. Yo've got a signal, that is a sum of gaussians that overlap and you want to separate them. That is very complicated, and using the peak detector you have to take into account that two gaussians can be so close that cannot be detected, and many times you don't have a peak, you only can see a shoulder, etc. You must improve your system resolution, or avoid other non desired signals by triggering and modulating the light you are measuring...

I think what you want to do requires post-measuring data analysis, and some "clues" or guesses...

Hi,

I am using a Hamamatsu mini spectrometer C10988MA with the evaluation board C11351 and the evaluation software, which is working fine, but now I would like to control the spectrometer with LabVIEW. I found the LabVIEW instrument driver on the National Instrument website: http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=BAC2FC71F51A22ADE0440021287E6A... However it says that the “Mini-Spectrometer Software is needed for DLL”. And indeed, if I try to open the LabVIEW files, it does not find the required dll files (e.g. specu1a.dll…).

where can I find these DLL files? which Mini Spectrometer software is needed?
sorry for the cross posting, I didn't see this thread before)

The DLL should be installed with the vendor-supplied software for the spectrometer.

You will nbeed to ask your supplier for either the CD with their software or for the DLL directly.

Shane.

PS The Spectrometer you are using utilised a different CMOS sensor than the drivers for which I have supplied VIs.  As such there is a relatively large chance that it will not work.

The software on NI's website is not tested/maintained and may not work properly.  Perhaps it is still useful for reference.  The C11351 is an evaluation product and is not provided with dll support.

Hello,

I have HAMAMATSU UV/VIS spectrometer (200 to 800nm). When I run "Parallel test.vi" then i should browse "specu1a.dll" file.(?!) Though I cannot find specu1a.dll file. All i have specu1b.dll, WdfCoInstaller01009.dll, winusbcoinstaller2.dll files.

1) Should Hamamatsu spectrometer appear in NI Max? No comunication device is found when instrument is connected. (Win11 can detect the instrument)

2) How can i test communication with Labview?

Kind regards,

Balzs
