 Hi Dennis

I complete  the driver for the LCR,  it works OK...

           Now I saw it  simple,

Still can't make the HP DMM  work with the USB to RS232 converter  FTDI Chip..

           I'll keep trying....

            Best Regards.

 Hi Edgar...

What is exactly you want to do..?

You comment  you have de serial  port,   you got the LCR also.

To connetion is not a problem,   just  connect the RS-232 cable to the  COM port on your PC and the other to the LCR..

      Best Regards..

      R.Lima

We are using LABVIEW 2014 and wish to do measurements with GWINSTEK LCR Meter, Model LCR821.   We find that LCR meter driver is not available for a 64 bit OS.

Can anybody help ?

the easy way to solve this issue you need to create a virtual machine to do it work. use virtual box to solve it

https://www.virtualbox.org/

Also you would need the Iso file or the CD of any windows 32 bits

hi Rlima,

Back to year 2014 regarding your project initially failed to talk to LCR - 800 series using RS232 that finally work, is it connect with NULL MODEM cable? Is there any driver software needed to install? can you share with me some idea how to make it work?

     Best Regards

   Thanks,
