GPIB-USB-HS - reinstalling driver every time after pc goes off???

I have instrument connected to my PC via GPIB-USB-HS cable. The problem is that when the PC goes to 'sleep' mode the connection with the instrument is lost. After that, if I power up the pc I have to re-install the cable driver  in order to establish connection with the instrument. I am looking for some tips, how to install the driver so the connection with the instrument not to be lost. Thank you.

If you open up the Windows Device Manager (Right click My Computer > Properties > Device Manager) and go through the properties of all your USB connections (including hub connections), within this window should be a tab for "Power Management", but sure to untick the selection that states "Allow windows to save power by turning off this device" - This should hopefully help.
