GPIB Can't Locate Device

We have the PCI-GPIB card running under Windows95
on a Pentium class HP desktop. I downloaded the
latest drivers from you (1.60 I believe).
Windows95 says the card is working, the National
Instruments diagnostic software says the card is
working. The instrument (an MGI Solitaire film
recorder) vendor checked and it is working fine.

When I run the National Instrument software to
locate the instrument, it comes back and says it
cannot find anything, power on the instrument and
try again. At the same time it is searching, I
can hear the instrument cycle thru (it makes a
whirling noise) as though it knows something is
trying to talk to it.

Are there any steps I can take to get the GPIB
and insturment working. It was working fine
for
over a year, then we had a problem with Windows95
and had to rebuild the computer (reload all
software). Now the GPIB won't talk to or find
the instrument.

Please help! Thanks

You may want to check NI's GPIB installation support site... we do have suggestions
for situations like yours: http://www.ni.com/support/trouble/gpib/
