Error connecting to GPIB driver or device

Yes, I used GPIB Write/Read, PREVIOUSLY. But since there is no response in the new computer, I changed my code by using VISA Commands Inside of LabVIEW Instead of GPIB Write/Read.

What version of 488.2, NI-VISA and LabVIEW do you currently have installed?

If you are still using LabVIEW 8.5 you should use, NI-VISA 5.0.3 and 488.2

I have attached the screen shots of the proper PC working with LabVIEW 8.5 and those for the other PC. Please find them.

Hi Saridar,

Can you give me a more detailed picture of your system?
On your current development machine, what hardware do you have connected?

Is the Adlink GPIB card, the one shown on this site?

How are you trying to send commands to this device currently? (You mentioned you were using GPIB functions, and then you said you switched to NI-VISA)

Can you please attach a Measurement and Automation Explorer technical report?  This would give me a good idea of all the NI drivers/software you currently have installed.

Thank you for providing this information.

Warm Regards,

Dear All,

Thank you so much for kind cooperation and for your time. I have received an Email from Adlink support just now. They said that " Unfortunately, we do not support 64-bit LabVIEW at this time ".

I think the problem is solved now.

During this challenge I learned many things from you.

Thank you again.

Hi Saridar. I am facing the exact problem as well. My software was working under windows xp, 32 bit labview 8.2 but it does not work under windows 7, 8.1, 64 bit labview 2013.

Did managed to run it with 32 bit labview in the new computer eventually?

Hi SVP1,

You will probably get a faster response by going directly to Adlink support.

Hello there.

I gave up on that. That was waist of time. I got a card from NI.

Good luck,
